The "Ron Abuelos" derived from the Varela Hermanos Destilería Don José are the epitome of Central American distillation art.

Panama, "El Puente de Las Americas," is the bridge between the American continents, the connection between Atlantic and Pacific and the tropical center of Central America. Rum is an important part of the country and belongs to the culture of the Panameños firmly. Around 90% of the Rumbedarf in Panama are covered by the family business Varela Hermanos.

Abuelo 12 years is a very high quality rum, which stored for at least 12 years in heavy wooden barrels made of oak wood. During this long storage time, the rum unfolds a delicious and intense taste.

In the nose, outstanding notes of sweet flavors as vanilla and wood, which are accompanied by toffee, leather and freshly slapped coconut. On the tongue Ron Abuelo is 12 years of buttery and rich in chocolates and vanilla flavors. In the long-lasting course, the rum convinces with his grades of toffee, leather and vanilla again.
