Ballantine had his business in the South Bridge area near Princes Street in Edinburgh in 1837. There he experimented mixing malt and grain whiskeys of different ages from different distilleries to create a slightly lighter, more refined product This is how the excellent and various Ballantine whiskeys were created.

A warming blend of whiskies that have been matured for 21 years or more, with intense flavors that linger in the memory. The aroma has clear and very pleasant apple notes, integrated into a complex overall structure of sweet honey and floral notes. On the tongue, this 21-year-old whisky initially presents itself with a velvety texture, which forms the basis for the wonderful aroma. This whisky is sweet, with liquorice, but equally spicy, with a hint of heather and harmonious smoke. The resulting Scotch whisky is long-lasting and mild, with a pleasant aroma of dried fruit. Smooth, rich and full-bodied, Ballantines 21 year old is the hallmark of Scotch whisky. Whisky is considered a noble and refined pleasure for special occasions.
