Boekenhoutskloof has earned a reputation for producing some of the best Cabernets in South Africa. The farm was founded in 1776 and its name means “Gorge of Boekenhout”. Stellenbosch is not only the most famous wine-growing region in South Africa, but also the home of Cabernet Sauvignon in South Africa.
This full-bodied red wine impresses with an impressive aroma of dark fruits such as cassis and blackberries, accompanied by delicate notes of vanilla, spices and fine cedar wood. On the palate, it shows a perfect balance between fruit, acidity and velvety tannins, leading to a long, elegant finish.
