Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

The Glenmorangie The Cadboll is a premium whiskey from the Legends Collection of the Scottish distillery. In order to develop its fine and complex aroma, the Glenmorangie The Cadboll was first aged in former bourbon barrels. It then finally got its finish in French barrique barrels, in which wines made from Muscat and Semillion grapes were stored in advance. Both types of casks had an effect on the high-quality distillate, so that the complex and particularly exciting aromatic structure resulted.

At first it appears deliciously sweet and yet dry, like freshly toasted brioche. Then light, sweet and lemony aromas unfold, followed by a chalky, fresh dry note and the subtle piquant aroma of roasted sage. It is velvety, round and full on the palate with aromas of freshly baked cookies, confectionery and powdered sugar. It is perfectly balanced by a dry, fresh, mineral note and the characteristic floral notes.
